MOSH Volunteers Christmas Cruise

As a thank you to our Volunteers, MOSH took them on a Port River Dolphin Cruise with a Devonshire Morning Tea. The cruise was sponsored by Blackwell Funerals and we were joined by Brett Whitford from Simplicity Funerals.

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and we look forward to working together in 2012.

KPMG Volunteering Day

If you thought volunteering was boring, you should have seen this bunch in action at our Clothing Clearance Shop at 95 Port Road Hindmarsh (opposite the entertainment centre) I was joined by a very enthusiastic bunch from KPMG on one of their company sponsored volunteering days. The team, led by Emma, arrived by bus and were straight into it.  The resident cynic in our house, AKA my husband, mumbled something about them being a bunch of bludgers who just wanted a day off work. How wrong you can be! This bunch jumped in and tackled all the tasks with humour, enthusiasm and a great sense of purpose. They unpacked boxes, made signs, unpacked boxes, hung curtains, unpacked boxes, set up displays and unpacked more boxes. By the end of the day, what had started out as an empty shell ended up looking like an Aladdin’s cave of couture!
A huge thankyou to: Amanda, Jacqui, James, Mirko, Jackie, Rachel, Rebecca, Nabeela, Christina, Erin, Josie and  Emma for all their efforts on the day and to the KPMG partners for their generous support of the concept of Corporate Volunteering. At the end of the day we were all weary but had a great sense of achievement and the icing on the cake for us at MOSH was the presentation of a generous donation to help us out with the purchase of our barbeque trailer.

From all of us at MOSH, a huge THANKS to the gang, we couldn’t have done it without you.
